Dell Venue Pro shipping delay confirmed

After a few weeks of release date speculation, Dell has confirmed that the tech radar Venue Pro model launch is delayed.
As expected, Dell has launched its first Windows Mobile 7 Phone OS based smartphone - Venue Pro for India.
The QWERTY keyboard-toting Dell Venue Pro is the first in Britain to rock a full set of keys in the Windows phone 7, and some online dealers was whether it would be released 2 February.
Designed in a slider form factor, carrying Venue Pro 4.1-inch AMOLED display with curved Gorilla glass technology and slides upward to reveal the QWERTY keyboard.
However, Dell has confirmed shipping will not be any time soon, and refused to give an exact UK release date: We have seen a very positive response on Dell Venue Pro, the first vertical QWERTY Windows 7 Phone Smartphone, both from media and customers, said Ellen Murphy, Dell's EMEA Consumer Public Relations Manager, tech radar.
When it comes to specification, Pro Venue has virtually the same hardware that runs Android 2.2 Froyo Venue smartphone.
Unfortunately, we experienced some delays in the shipment of Dell Venue Pro for selected regions, including the UK, and we will offer it for sale when we are completely satisfied and ready to do it.
For India, Dell Venue Pro will be available at Rs.
The teams are working around the clock globaly to reduce the delay and we realize there is no substitute for the shipping product.
34990.
So there we have it - but we doubt we will see many more Windows 7 Phone handsets at the Mobile World Parliament 2011, we have one more from last year still to come.
Microsoft Windows 7 running Dell Phone Venue House Pro 1GHz (Scorpion Core) CPU with Qualcomm Snapdragon Adreno 200 GPU for graphics.
The handset has 512 MB of RAM and 8GB of storage on board.
However, it does not have memory card slot and that's what makes it different from the Venue.
What embarrassed the 4.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, space for this portrait slider phone also features a QWERTY keyboard.
Loaded with a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus, the venue Pro laws 720p HD video.
Venue Pro is the price of Rs.
34990 seems certain slightly higher when compared with the HTC Desire HD available for Rs.
28 499 from online retailer Flipkart.com.
In December last year, Dell had introduced Venue Pro for $ 450 which means around Rs.
20 250 layers.
We expect price drop in a month or two when more Windows 7 Phone devices and Android 2.3 Gingerbread laden Nexus S hits India.
Dell has also announced Rs.
29 990 official price for the Android 2.2 Froyo loaded Venue smartphone.
