HTC's 16 megapixel camera Windows Phone 7 Smartphone (video)

According to the latest leak, the HTC Corporation, working with a Windows 7 Phone Smartphone which will feature a 16 megapixel camera on board. The news comes via Pocketnow, who fortunately had his hands-on video ad (below) by HTC, promoting a 16 Megapixels Smartphones with dual LED flash. There is no information available about the specifications of this device apart from the camera's flash and operating system. If you look at the end of the video in smartphones that appears just looks like the Android-based HTC Desire S. The only difference is the three typical Windows buttons at the bottom. Perhaps this might just be a placeholder device, the source said, or may be HTC are looking to borrow HTC Desire S design for this device because it has happened in the past. Moreover, it is not known when this smartphone will be hitting stores shelves and what it will cost, but it is clear that this video is authentic and that the Smart Phone is on its way.

Unfortunately, there is no word on the lens or other hardcore tech details, so we do not know yet whether this really is a compact killer. Altek holds the record for the most megapixels, 14, with Leo's phone. HTC's new number would screw things up a notch, but would not guarantee top quality snaps. This new WP7 phone is not yet named, but the leaked press shot suggests it will follow a similar design to the HTC mobiles second wrapping Microsoft's mobile operating system.
