Windows Phone 7 gets to play with Augmented Reality on the Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo's console big rivals Microsoft and Sony can now move into the cellular playing marbles with the use of Xbox Live Arcade for Windows 7 Phone devices and PlayStation Suite hits the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, but it does not look like the house of Mario has plans to follow for anytime soon.
Despite putting in a patent application for a gaming console with phone capabilities all the way back in 2001, and the fact that 3DS has led to a free Wi-Fi hotspot partnership with AT&T network in the U.S., Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime has suspended the rumors of a Nintendo phone.
We have no desire to get into telephony, he told CNN.
We believe that we will earn our way into someone's pocket without offering the telephone (ability) as an additional factor.
We do not want to be in the phone business continued Fils-Aime.
We do not see it as an opportunity.
Phones are tools.
Phones are not per definition entertainment devices.
From Nintendo's perspective, we do not see that we have a competitive advantage in telephony.
