Leaked: Nokia Windows Phone 7 W8 and W7 profiled

The inner workings of Nokia has been detailed yet again by the staff over at Mobile Review, and gives an insight into what the Finnish mobile giant has planned for its new range of Windows 7 Phone handsets, expected to debut early next year.
Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is in an unenviable.
Initial reports suggest Nokia and Microsoft have problems to agree on naming conventions of their new smart phones, debating whether to keep the indexes that Nokia has previously employed in the past.
The company has continued to profess, display and demonstrate their support for Symbian, while at the same try and convince the wireless world as their focus on the Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Windows 7 Phone is going to pay off.
That said, Nokia's Windows phone devices are expected to wear a W prefix, linking the company's new models with Windows brand.
I'm still deeply sceptical that the partnership will produce a juggernaut that can take market share way IDC predicts it will - capturing 21 percent of the global smartphone market in 2015.
Despite naming conventions are apparently up in the air, both companies forging ahead with development of the four Windows phone handsets, all bearing a new chassis that allows manufacturers to incorporate various processors, and has greater flexibility than the smart phone design.
Almost none of that scepticism has to do with Nokia's capabilities as a company.
The first phone that is expected from Nokia, is to be a Windows variant of the Nokia phone X7, with an impressive WVGA screen and a Qualcomm chipset QSD8250.
Instead, it is incumbent upon Microsoft to develop a self-sustaining dynamic that pushes the platform forwards in the way that Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has done with the IOS and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) has Android.
It is said to incorporate an 8MP camera with autofocus and flash.
I spoke last month with Kai Öistämö, Nokia's executive vise president for corporate development.
This model is expected to be the first to market, released in early 2012.According to sources, Nokia is providing a customised version of its smartphone N8, probably starting with a 12MP camera.
Öistämö, who has been with Nokia since 1991 and was chairman of the units from 2007 to 2010, a Nokia man through and through.
The design will be similar to the N8 and will be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm processor, but the design has not been finalized yet.
Most of all though, Öistämö talked nonstop about what makes the Nokia really proud: solid hardware. In my opinion, I do not think any of the existing Windows phone products are particularly appealing hardware, he said. I think we can do much in terms of a user and the user appeal of actually using our knowledge and ability in the hardware side. They are going to be the highest echelon of what these phones are supposed to be, said ABI Research analyst Kevin Burden me, referring to Nokia's Windows phone gadgets. Does that necessarily translate into success? The question comes down to: Is Windows 7 Phone is going to be a platform that people are going to buy Apple's model is based on a self-reinforcing dynamic in which its hardware sales feed the content available from iTunes App Store and iBooks store. Google mainly uses Android as an advertising platform for earnings and want to expand it by moving into mobile payments and other areas.
Nokia and Microsoft wants to do to have a smart phone with a high-spec camera, a clear priority.
Of course, even if Windows Phone has largely been a dud in the U.S. so far, it is still early days yet. Microsoft is prepping a major update, called Mango, and later this year, which will bring better multitasking capabilities, expanded Office document support, and a hardware-accelerated version of Internet Explorer 9 But efforts have been appreciated. There is no better partner than Microsoft has in Nokia, says Burden. It can bring out more phones than ever. If it does not succeed with Nokia, so it has some real problems. It has no more excuses. The potential is there. The ingredients are all there, Gartner analyst Michael Garten Berg told me. This is an execution play. To be the third horse, you must be in the race. I'm waiting to see how Microsoft does. - Phil.
The WP7-enabled N8 is expected to start late in the first fourth of 2012 or early in the second quarter.
Both are said to be launching in early 2012.In total, Nokia is expected to release Windows 7 Phone 1912 devices, introduces its new flagship device that will move the company forward from its first Windows phone deals.
It is proposed that the manufacturer is still mulling over Android development using the Microsoft platform to help it speed in the first place.
