HTC readying a 16MP Windows Phone 7 handset?

HTC Prepares 16-Megapixel Phone Windows 7? (Video) File under: NewsBy: Evan Blass | 9:57 16-Apr-11 | Comments HTC is working on a Windows 7 Phone model with an unprecedented 16-megapixel camera, according to the ad embedded below.
How many mega pixels would you need from your smartphone to consider it a worthy point-and-shoot camera? Because it's not all just the megapixels you know, but it does not hurt to have so many of them as possible on a camera, whether it's a single camera or a camera (smart) phone.
Such handsets will double the number of pixels of the company's highest-resolution devices, which currently top out at eight megapixels.
Word on the street right now is that HTC is planning a 16-megapixel camera Windows 7 Phone smartphone.
Curiously, the model shown in the video is a dead ringer for the recently released, Android-powered Desire S (except buttons, of course), so we suspect that there may be a placeholder for what the final hardware will end up being (HTC Ignite , perhaps?).
We have no idea what HTC will call the device, but the phone has already been featured in a promo video that somehow found its way to the net (we have embedded below, too.) There is more than clear that we see on an HTC smartphone, just cheque the logo and the overall shape of the device, and the three buttons which indicate that we are in the presence of Windows 7 Phone.
Besides the camera resolution and the existence of dual LED flashes, none of this alleged phone's other specs revealed.
The phone can be released at some point later this year when we expect different manufacturers to come out with new phones WP7.
Preliminary camera manufacturer Altek has the crown for the highest-resolution smartphone, with its 14 megapixels Altek Leo.
The obvious rival in this 16-megapixel camera smartphone will most likely come from Nokia also later in the year when we expect the giant Finnish smartphone manufacturer to announce its first WP7 phones as well.

Because Nokia is also quite good to exaggerate the mobile cameras in their smart phones.
The question is, will the HTC include a similar shooting in its forthcoming mains of Android smartphones? The handset in the picture looks very familiar here, and if I do not know any better (again, see the three buttons that have Windows on them) I would say I'm looking at some sort of an HTC Android creation.
Anyone out there really need a 16-megapixel camera phone?.
