HTC to unleash 16MP Windows Phone 7 handset?

Now here's a rumor that has come out of nowhere: HTC working on a 16MP Windows 7 Phone handsets.
HTC currently has only three or four devices that run on Windows 7 Phone and more units will be arriving later this year. PocketNow've gotten some juicy details about the next HTC device with Windows 7 Phone. They said that the device will have a 16-megapixel camera and will apparently be the first smartphone to carry such a large image sensor. It is also one of the physical menu-button-less smart phones like HTC wants to introduce. The forthcoming HTC device will have three capacitive buttons - Home, Back and Search. It also has a camera on the front. At the back is a 16-megapixel image sensor bearing camera with dual LED flash. No more details were revealed, but PocketNow got his hand on the HTC smartphone teaser. See it below:.
The apparent evidence is a video posted by mobile news site PocketNow, where a line drawn by gang party-goers turn into real live high definition people when using the camera snapped the phone.
But we are far too convinced, and here's why.
Firstly, where have sprung from this video? PocketNow not saying where it found this mysterious Aha tribute video, and it is not just difficult to merge something like that in this internet-savvy day and age.
Bah, humbugSecondly, HTC has never before shown interest in competiting in digital imaging race, his highest megapixel create 8MP so far, so why jump to 16MP? And certainly a quality manufacturer like HTC know it's not just about megapixels, without a good lens and decent quality sensor, all the extra megapixels'm almost meaningless.
But, we should not rule the possibility of a 16MP HTC phone out completely.
After all, it is difficult to differentiate yourself in the tightly controlled Windows 7 Phone hardware market, and the handset in the video looks pretty much like the recently leaked HTC Maza.
But imaging is where Nokia has shone in recent years - with fins racing to get into the Windows phone market, we could see a whole new megapixel war about to begin? From PocketNow.
